Who We Are

A Veteran-Owned Family Business Serving Chattanooga

Three Crosses Land Services is a family business based just north of Chattanooga, and it is veteran-owned. Our motto is short. Faith. Integrity. Service. Forestry mulching is the work we lead with. A mulcher grinds brush, briars, vines, saplings, and small trees into chips right where they stand. The chips stay on the ground as a mulch layer, so there is nothing to stack or burn. Ground that was too thick to cross comes back as open, usable space.

We run a mini skid steer with three attachments. The drum mulcher takes down brush and small trees. The rotary brush cutter handles brush clearing and bush hogging in fields and pastures. The Harley rake smooths out gravel drives once the growth is off them. That machine fits through a standard fence gate. Backyard jobs and tight side yards are open to us. We also run a stump grinder and a dump trailer.

We work about 40 miles out from Chattanooga. That covers the city and its suburbs, Hixson, Soddy-Daisy, Ooltewah, Cleveland, Signal Mountain, Dayton, and Dunlap. Ringgold, Fort Oglethorpe, and Trenton sit inside it across the Georgia line. The full list of towns we cover is worth a look if you sit near the edge of that circle. Estimates are free. We come out, look at the ground, and give you a price before any work starts.

About Three Crosses Land Services
Why Choose Three Crosses Land Services

Transforming overgrown properties into usable spaces

Veteran-Owned Family Business

Three Crosses is family run and veteran-owned. The faith behind the name is why we do the work the way we said we would. That holds on a small backyard job or a grown-over acre.

Equipment That Fits Tight Access

Our mini skid steer fits through a standard fence gate. Backyards, side yards, fence lines, and lots hemmed in by buildings are workable ground for us. The fence stays where it is.

Licensed and Insured

We are licensed and insured. That matters when a mulcher head is running near your fence, your driveway, and the trees you want left standing. Ask and we will send the paperwork.

Frequently Asked Questions

Questions About Our Land Services?

These are the questions property owners around Chattanooga ask us most. If yours is not on the list, call or text and we will answer it.

Call (423) 260-5675

What does forestry mulching cost?
A few things set the price. How thick the growth is and how big the stems are move the number most. So does how much ground you want cleared, and how easy it is to get equipment in. A wooded ridge side takes longer than an open flat lot. We give you a price for your property after we come out and look, free.
How big a tree can a forestry mulcher take down?
The mulcher is built for brush, briars, vines, saplings, and small trees. Thicker trunks are more than a mini skid steer mulcher takes. Those come down first as tree and shrub removal work, away from houses and structures. When we look at your property we tell you which growth gets mulched and which gets cut down first. You get that split spelled out in the estimate.
What is the difference between forestry mulching and land clearing?
Forestry mulching grinds growth in place and leaves the chips on the ground as mulch. The ground stays covered and the roots stay put, which holds soil on a slope. Land clearing is the bigger job of opening a lot end to end. It can pull in mulching, cutting, stump work, and hauling. Most residential jobs we run start as mulching. We tell you which one fits after we see the ground.
Do you haul debris off the property?
With forestry mulching there is usually nothing to haul. The growth becomes mulch and stays on the ground where it fell. Some jobs do leave material that has to go, like brush piles, storm debris, or old junk. We load it into the dump trailer and take it out as junk and debris removal. Hauling gets quoted with the job, so you know what is in the price.
How far do you travel?
We work about 40 miles out from Chattanooga. That takes in the city and its suburbs, Hixson, Soddy-Daisy, Ooltewah, Cleveland, Signal Mountain, Dayton, and Dunlap. Ringgold, Fort Oglethorpe, and Trenton are inside it on the Northwest Georgia side. If your property sits near the edge of that circle, call or text and ask. We will tell you either way.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. Three Crosses Land Services is licensed and insured. Running a mulcher and a stump grinder near fences, driveways, and standing trees is machine work. It should be covered, and ours is. Property managers and HOAs can get a copy of the certificate before we start. If you want it in hand first, say so when you call.
How do I get an estimate?
Call or text (423) 260-5675 and tell us where the property is and what you want done. Photos of the growth help. We set a time to come out and look at the ground. We check how equipment can get in, then quote the job. Estimates are free. Once you approve the price, we put you on the schedule.
