Three Crosses Land Services runs forestry mulching and land clearing in Cleveland, Tennessee. Forestry mulching grinds standing brush and small trees into chips right where they grow. The material stays on site as ground cover, so it holds the dirt and keeps mud down. What you get back is open ground you can mow.
Cleveland is the Bradley County seat and the largest city in the county. The 2020 census counted 47,356 people in the city and 108,620 across Bradley County. Growth along the I-75 corridor keeps pushing houses out toward ground that used to be farm and timber. A lot of that acreage has not been cut in years.
We are based just north of Chattanooga and cover Cleveland as part of our regular service area. Our mini skid steer fits through a standard fence gate. Backyards and narrow side lots in town stay reachable without taking a fence section apart. Estimates are free, and you can call or text to set one up.

Cleveland sits in the Great Appalachian Valley, about 15 miles west of the Blue Ridge. Long ridges run through the county in parallel lines. Candies Creek Ridge cuts through north Cleveland, and Blue Springs Ridge sits east of it. City elevations range from just under 700 feet to nearly 1,200 feet, so slope can change inside a few miles.
Cleveland averages close to 58 inches of rain a year. Clay soil holds that water, and a wet summer pushes brush back fast. Privet and kudzu move into any ground that stops getting cut. A clear fence row can go solid in two or three seasons.
Bradley County is still farm country on its edges. The 2022 Census of Agriculture counted 25,799 acres of pastureland and 17,312 acres of woodland here. Pasture edges creep in a little every year, and old fence lines vanish under brush. Meanwhile the I-75 corridor draws industry, and property changes hands with whatever grew up on it.
Forestry mulching handles most of the overgrown acreage we see in Bradley County. The drum mulcher on our mini skid steer takes brush, briars, saplings, and small trees down to chips. When a lot needs to come all the way back to usable ground, that is land clearing at residential scale.
Grown-up pasture and old fields are a rotary cutter job. bush hogging knocks the growth down and keeps it manageable after that. Boundaries that disappeared under privet get opened back up with fence line clearing, which also covers right-of-way and easement work.
Stumps stay behind after trees come out. stump grinding takes them below grade so the spot mows flat. We can finish that ground with topsoil and a seed-ready surface. Chips and debris go out on the dump trailer when you want the site clean.
We work out of a base just north of Chattanooga, across the valley from Cleveland. Our service area runs roughly 40 miles out, which puts all of Bradley County inside it. Cleveland and the rural ground out toward Charleston are normal territory for us.
Estimates are free and we do them on the property. Overgrown ground reads differently in person than it does in a photo. Stem size and slope change the plan, and so does how much of the lot you want opened. Once we have seen it, you get a real number and a date.
